When I started my business Instagram account, I began following hashtags so that I would come across business in the Midlands. From following #columbiasc, I found out about Sweet Cream Co., an ice cream shop on Main Street. I’ve been following their Instagram account for awhile, and I put the shop on my bucket list. Yesterday, I paid them a visit.
What I like about Sweet Cream Co….
Sweet Cream Co. serves the staple ice cream flavors on a daily basis…vanilla and chocolate. However, it’s not your standard vanilla. It’s Madagascar vanilla. It’s not your standard chocolate. It’s dark chocolate or German chocolate. They also serve flavor combinations that you wouldn’t be able to buy anywhere else. How is that possible? The ice cream is produced locally by a husband and wife team. They use organic ingredients and are partners with other local vendors, such as Cottle Strawberry Farm. Yesterday, I got a scoop of the Brown Sugar Bourbon. I sampled, and my sister got a cone of Coffee and Doughnuts. Both were delicious! My sister said she bit into a piece of doughnut when she was eating her ice cream. She also commented on the freshness of the waffle cone. It was so fresh because they make those too! Amazing!
Sweet Cream Co. produces their ice cream (and sorbet) in small batches. When one flavor runs out, it’s replaced by another one. Flavors are by chance, and it makes the menu a bit more interesting.
