About a month ago, I began working with a client who hired me to help her sell her home. I’ve been a Realtor® for a little over a year now, and this would be my first listing. Needless to say, I was excited! However, one thing was missing from the services I would provide for my client. I didn’t have a photographer to take the listing photos. Then, I found Trell Martin of Full Effect Designs & Images…
How I Found Full Effect Designs & Images
During the first week of June, I was on Facebook and saw a post in a local group page. The person, Trell Martin, said he was looking for Realtors who were in search of a photographer. This was right on time! I commented and let him know that I was looking for a photographer, and I’d like to see some of his real estate photography. We began chatting via Messenger.
When we were chatting, Trell let me know that, even though he’s a photographer, he’d never done real estate photos. That didn’t bother me, though. I’d been on his website and seen his work. I liked what I saw. I told him that, even though I’m a Realtor®, I’ve never had a listing. So, we were in the same boat, and we’d figure it out together. LOL! In the meantime, before picture day, I sent him some listing photos to give him an idea of how the images should look.
The Finished Product
As I mentioned earlier, this was my first listing, and Trell had never done real estate photography. Fortunately, I’d been with my mentor a couple of times when photos were being taken for her listings. As a result, I was able to give him some pointers on what to do and what not to do. For example, when pictures of the bathroom are being taken, the toilet seat and lid should always be down. Little details like that make a difference in listing photos. Besides, no one wants to see the inside of a toilet. Yuck! LOL!
From start to finish, it took between 30 minutes to an hour for the pictures. I received them from Trell later that evening. When I opened the file, I was so pleased! I immediately sent him a text, “I LOVE THE PICTURES!”. The colors were vibrant, the lighting was just right…just perfect! I anticipate working with Full Effect Designs & Images again in the future.
