I’d heard about Duck Donuts on a show on the Food Network or the Travel Channel. I thought it would be nice if there was a store in the Midlands. In July 2017, a Duck Donuts location opened in Columbia. Yes! Apparently, other Midlands residents had heard of Duck Donuts also. When the location first opened, there was a large crowd everyday. I waited a couple of weeks before visiting the store.
What I love about Duck Donuts…
The donuts are made fresh when you order them, and they are delicious! They are cake donuts but the texture of them is much lighter than those at Dunkin Donuts. There is a regular menu of the different types that are sold on a regular basis. By the way, the Maple Bacon is my favorite! Also, you can create a custom donut with any combination of donut flavor, icing, topping, etc.
