As you know, I’m a REALTOR® with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Blythewood. Our office is moving to a new location in Columbia. For the past several weeks, I’ve been working from home and hadn’t been to the office. Last week, I had an appointment to meet with new buyers. I knew the packing in the office had already started, and I didn’t want to interfere with the process by bringing clients for a meeting. So, I called The ConverSpace to reserve their meeting room. It was a great experience!
What is The ConverSpace?
The ConverSpace is a coworking space in Northeast Columbia, located in the Village at Sandhills. What is a coworking space, you may ask? A coworking space is a facility where those who are self-employed, freelancers, or independent contractors can go to work during the day. Sometimes, those who work from home may feel isolated. Also, when working from home, there may be distractions. Going to a coworking space helps to solve those problems. The worker is able to network with other individuals and work in an environment away from the distractions of home.
The ConverSpace was opened by Columbia native, Tamika Washington. It was designed to create a collaborative working and event rental space for creatives and entrepreneurs. At The ConverSpace, there are multiple seating areas. You have the option of sitting at a table for 1, or you may sit a table for 4 and get to know other workers. There are also seating areas with sofas and comfy chairs. If you’re like me, I don’t advise that. There may be more resting instead of working. LOL! The facility also features a meeting room with space for 6 persons and projection capability. The ConverSpace may be rented for events, such as meetings, training and workshops.
