The heat has arrived in the Midlands! If you’re looking for places to have some fun in the water, here’s a list of pools and water parks in the area!
Palmetto Falls Water Park | 6511 Marion Avenue – Ft. Jackson
Because the park is on the military base, background checks are required for civilians.
Waterfall Junction | Riverbanks Zoo & Garden, 500 Wildlife Parkway
Entry to Waterfall Junction is included in park admission.
City of Columbia Parks & Recreation
The swim season for City of Columbia’s outdoor pools and splash pads begins this coming Saturday, May 25, 2019. Please see website for hours of operation.
Maxcy Gregg Pool | 1655 Park Circle
Fridays from 1-6 PM is free swim day.
Greenview Park Aquatics Center | 6700 David Street
Mondays from 1-6 PM is free swim day.
For both Maxcy Gregg and Greenview Park, the fee per visit is: $3 (ages 12 and under); $4 (ages 13 and over)
Splash Pads/Spray Pools (Free and open to the public); also managed by City of Columbia Parks & Recreation. Please see website for hours of operation and additional splash pool locations.
